Experience in the use of hand and power tools
Experience performing maintenance on Heavy Duty vehicles, knowledge of Diesel engines and related components.
Ability to read and understand operating manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
Must be able to prioritize task effectively and have time management skills
Ability to work with limited supervision, be a self starter, proactive and a team player
Very detail oriented individual with good analytical skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding

Job Description:
Position Summary
The Heavy Duty Mechanic works out of our shop at 280 Crooked Creed Rd in Oyster Bed. They will work closely with our Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to perform regular routine and preventative maintenance as well as repairing break downs and malfunctions on farm vehicles and machinery.
Position Responsibilities
Checking for proper performance and inspect farm vehicles and equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using tools and testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
Adjusting, repairing or replacement of defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
Testing repaired components for proper performance and to ensure that work meets safe operation requirements and manufacturers' specifications
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance and preventative work on farm vehicles and equipment
Maintain accurate records or vehicle maintenance and repairs
Organization and stocking of tools and parts to ensure adequate on-hand supply of vital and commonly replaced components
