Qualifications:
 Grade 12 diploma or higher education
 Class 3A or 1A driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
 Pesticide applicator’s license
 Previous experience operating farm equipment
 Knowledge of potato farming operations
 Ability to precisely follow written and verbal instructions
 Thoroughness and attention to detail
 Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
 Mechanical aptitude
 Experience working with GPS and field monitoring systems
 Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Job Description:
G.W. & R. Visser Farms is a quality seed and table potato operation located in Orwell, Cove, PEI. In addition to potatoes, we produce a wide range of grain crops including winter wheat, peas, soybeans, lupins and mustard.

This position requires someone who is energetic, self-motivated and punctual. The individual must have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment. Must have the ability to work flexible and/or extended hours including evenings and weekends during peak season.

Duties Include:
 The operation of farm machinery such as tractors, sprayers, tandem trucks, etc…
 Ensure the accurate completion of associated paperwork
 Basic maintenance of equipment and report any maintenance issues to supervisor
 Loading and mixing of chemicals as per recommended spray application
 Other duties as assigned

Wage for this position will be based qualifications and experience
