Required Skills:
An ability to work alongside other and provide some mechanical guidance to those less skilled as needed is a must. Applicant must be able to undertake multiple tasks at once and be able to prioritize as needed. Workload can be heavy during peak seasons of planting and harvesting. Applicant must maintain an open mind to learning various skills or technical knowledge from others as much of the equipment is specialized for the vegetable industry.
It is an asset for applicant to possess a valid Class 3A license.
An ability to weld, possession of a valid drivers(Class 5) license and possession of tools is a necessity.

Job Description:
The position requires mechanical knowledge of the following items to troubleshoot, source, repair and replace parts for the following vehicles: Passenger vehicles, Heavy trucks, Farm tractors, forklifts, conveyor belts, Vegetable packaging equipment, Tillage equipment, Vegetable harvesting equipment, Greenhouse equipment. A heated shop is provided as a base to work out of but on site repair does occur. Travel to locations within 20km will occur, transportation is provided for this. Repair in these locations can be unfavourable but are not frequent.
