Job Description:
Reporting to The Raw Procurement Manager, the Potato Warehouse Sampler will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, “Can Do” attitude and the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

The Potato Warehouse Sampler will work 8 to 14 hour day shifts, 7 days a week, weather permitting. This is a temporary term position starting in September 2017 for approximately 6 weeks.

Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• High school (or equivalent)
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift upwards of 50lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to perform manual labor for up to 8 hours per day
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to take direction and work with little supervision
• Able to work 7 days a week for approximately 6 weeks

Key responsibilities:

• The main responsibility of the Potato Warehouse Sample position is to collect potato samples from the Growers warehouse and record data on each.
• The work lasts for approx. 6 weeks it can be hard and fast work – long hours for a short period of time. It depends on the weather – if it rains there may be a shortage of work on that day.
• The job is half manual labor and half data recording with lots of driving.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
