Job Description:
Position Summary
The Long Haul Truck Driver position is a seasonal/casual position that involves transporting materials between Vanco Farm’s PEI based operations and those in Florida and California. There would be opportunity for additional work during our planting and harvest seasons.
Position Responsibilities
• Load, haul and deliver materials between Vanco Farms work locations in PEI, Florida and California
• Utitlize safe transport practices, such as proper and legal load securement
• Ensure proper chain up, tarping and strapping down all loads
• Complete pre and post trip inspections, while addressing any defects immediately
• Maintain driver’s electronic logging device and recording all pertinent entries
• Driving long distances, ability to use GPS and map out planned driving routes
• Other related duties as required
Wages:
17.00 to 19.00/hour
