• Post-Secondary education in related field or equivalent experience
• Pesticide License or the ability to obtain one
• Experience using biological applications
• Previous MMAR/ACMPR experience is considered an asset
• Basic knowledge of math and the ability to understand application rates
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Self-starter, who works independently, takes responsibility and demonstrates integrity
• A criminal records check will be required to be completed by the successful candidate after the job offer is communicated
• All employees must be 19+

Job Description:
Reporting Directly to the Cultivation Manager, the Crop Scout will be responsible to monitor the plants for disease or harmful pests and to respond to threats. The individual will primarily be monitoring the plants for pests, keeping accurate records of all monitoring, and offering recommendations to the Senior Leadership team for pest control.

This is a hardworking, hands-on, rolls-up-your-sleeves environment emphasizing a team-oriented and collaborative management style. It will be key for the candidate to embrace change and see past obstacles with a focus on solutions in the context of a company undergoing rapid growth and ongoing functional integration.

Responsibilities:
• Surveys and inspects crop for evidence of disease or harmful pests
• Monitors pest ecosystems to evaluate the presence of pest species, natural pest predators, and conditions that may contribute to pest
• Oversee and maintenance of detailed IPM records
• Provides expertise, assistance and training to staff about pest biology
• Mixes, applies and monitors various recommended of pest control products
• Maintaining compliance with laws, regulations and SOP’s in relation to IPM
• Monitors efficiency of products used for control and be up to date on new health Canada approved products coming to market
• Ensures products are used on time to provide the best control possible
• Is familiar with Health Canada rules and regulations regarding products that can be used
