Job Description:
Indian River Farms, located at 1160 Route 20, Kensington, PE, C0B 1M0, is seeking a Cook throughout Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick who is self-motivated with great people skills.

Summary

The Cook with be accountable for the timely and accurate production of meals for our farm crew, varying of size of 5 to 40 people. The Cook adheres to all policies and regulations for safety, hygiene, and food preparation processes. The wage ranges depending on experience.

Job Duties

-Ensure all menu items are prepared and served according to quality and safety standards
-Assists in the ordering of supplies and maintaining inventory control at the direction of the Farm Manager
-Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including sweeping of the floors, cleaning of surfaces, as well as proper covering, labelling and storage of food items according to standards and procedures
-Work at efficient and consistent pace to ensure timely preparation of all meals
-Ensure that the correct quantities are prepared to meet daily needs

Requirements

-Minimum 1 year of cooking experience required
-Food Handlers Certificate or willing to obtain
-WHMIS Certificate or willing to obtain
-Must be able to read, write, and speak English as to be understood effectively by another individual
