Job Description:
Based in Albany, PEI, Atlantic Beef Products Inc. (ABPI) is a well-established company and the only federally Inspected beef slaughter, cut, grind facility in Atlantic Canada and serves retail and foodservice customers and the beef and dairy industry primarily in Eastern Canada. We produce brands such as Blue Dot Reserve™, Island View Farms™, True Beef™ and Prince Edward Island Certified Beef™.
As we continue to grow our business and to open new markets for our products, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated meat cutter to add to our team. This position is based in Albany, Prince Edward Island.
Responsibilities:
Slaughters livestock using stunning devices and knives.
Skin, clean and trim carcasses
Removes viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses
Split carcasses into smaller portions to facilitate handling
Cut beef into specific cuts
Package and process beef for commercial or wholesale use.
