Required Skills:
Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing or agriculture with an understanding of the importance of safety in the workplace
- Able to meet deadlines, shift priorities and solve problems
- Mechanically inclined and interested in operating equipment including forklift, dump trucks/tandems, piler, hog, tractor
- Experience or willingness to lead and train people
- Detail oriented, and able to record and communicate data required for decision-making

Job Description:
The successful candidate will assist the storage manager to monitor the potatoes in storage; assist in training and supervising staff; and perform maintenance and repair to the building and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the safety program for the site
- Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the storage facility; monitoring ventilation systems and inspecting product
- Operating equipment as well as planning and scheduling maintenance and repairs
- Training, scheduling and supervising seasonal employees
- Coordinating deliveries from growers during harvest
- Keeping accurate food safety records as required for Canada Gap certification
