Job Description:
Transports custom-blended feed to various customer barns from our on-farm mill and transporting feed ingredients.
Transport small pigs from sow barns to nurseries as well as from the nursery to finishing barns, transporting mature swine to barns or assembly yards
Ensures all associated documentation, including bills of ladings, shipping tickets are accurate and completed according to schedule.
Check customer delivery directions and customer or farm instructions to avoid delivery errors
Keep appropriate records of data such as vehicle logs, product bill of ladings, inventory counts, delivery information, records of sales, and application records.
Drives and operates equipment and machinery such as front-end loader, 10 wheelers and farm tractors. Operates all equipment in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
Perform pre-trip, on-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, report anything that doesn’t appear to be in good working order
Adhere to good driving and livestock biosecurity standards
Works until deliveries are completed and trucks are returned and inspections completed
Ensures the overall appearance and housekeeping standards of the premises are maintained in a professional and organized manner. Regularly clean and maintain equipment and service vehicles.
Power washes equipment, trucks, and vehicles.
Safely performs day to day functions and tasks.
Collaborate effectively with other team members across the organization, with clients, and agency partners
Attend organizational meetings as required to stay up to date and well informed
Other duties as assigned if no trucking scheduled i.e., yard maintenance, equipment maintenance
Wages:
$20/h-$24/h depending on experience
